BREAKFAST MUFF announce tour dates with Neurotic Fiction
Following the release of their critically acclaimed new album Eurgh!, (Punk Online Review) Glasgow’s Breakfast Muff announce a London show at Rough Trade East this Friday 21 July at 7pm, before heading off on a string of dates with Neurotic Fiction next week.
Breakfast Muff are a thrillingly uncompromising DIY pop trio comprising Eilidh McMillan (Rapid Tan, Joanna Gruesome), Simone Wilson (Hairband, Mary Column) and Cal Donnelly (Spinning Coin, Rapid Tan), who all switch between guitar, bass and drums in a cacophony of anxiety, celebration and creativity. Featuring songs about sexuality, feminism and feelings, Eurgh! ranges from soft to screechy, and is an all-round giant dose of fun.
They also share the track “I Like To”, which Eilidh describes; “This song is kind of silly but it’s also it came from a place of like everyone wanting to know your sexuality and wanting to put you in a box. As a bi/pansexual person I’ve experienced this from both women and men that I’ve slept with. The point of the song is just that it shouldn’t matter to anyone but yourself.”
