HOI-POI FARPLANE WIND – ‘Dread And Vision’ Review

HOI-POI FARPLANE WIND – Dread And Vision

Hoi-PoiHoi-Poi Farplane Wind is a punk/posthardcore/emotive band from Thessaloniki, Greece. They released their latest mini album titled Dread and Vision on March 1st 2018.

The three tracks  are all over three minutes in length with the wall of sound opener, Asleep In Sorry smacking the listener straight in the gut. The song displays an almighty noisy power before it breaks for a melodic interlude. The band showcase a great songwriting and playing ability.

The title track, Dread And Vision brings forward some chunky guitar chords, powerful beat and strong vocals as it opens with aplomb. The track is over five minutes in length with post hardcore vibes throughout as guitar solos, massive power chords and pounding beats drive the song forward.

The closer is Far Out which starts with some feedback, one of the nastiest bass guitars I’ve heard in a good while and then launches into a head-banging, foot-stomping punker.  The soaring vocals add to the raunchy and raw music.

Good stuff to check out. You can listen and purchase Dread And Vision by Hoi-Poi Farplane Wind here: https://hoi-poifarplanewind.bandcamp.com/
