Influential Brighton skate punks PHINIUS GAGE reform

Phinius GageBrighton, UK’s 100mph melodic skate punks Phinius Gage have announced they have reformed. The band, who played over 500 shows in the UK and Europe between 2002 and 2007, have detailed two comeback shows for starters and said they are to record new material.

In the days of Household Name Records, Big Cheese Magazine, Scuzz TV and the vibrant UK punk and ska scene of the early 2000s, Phinius Gage were a staple name. Touring with bands including Streetlight Manifesto, [spunge], Ten Foot Pole, Farse, Reuben, The King Blues, 4ft Fingers, Consumed and many others, the band made their name with their relentless gigging schedules. They released three albums in their existence, 2005’s “The Feeling Something’s Wrong”, 2006’s “Brighton Rock” and 2007’s “Seek Out Your Foes”. They split in 2008, reforming in 2015 briefly for a short tour with [spunge] and Whitmore.

The band have booked two initial shows, with more to come. They are writing ahead of a new EP – details to follow. A best of compilation, “Battered & Bruised: The Best Of Phinius Gage” is out now on Disconnect Disconnect Records. The album features 16 songs from the band’s back catalogue, plus three unreleased tracks, all remastered.

Upcoming shows:
JULY
20 Redrum, STAFFORD (w/ Random Hand)
29 New Cross Inn, LONDON (w/ Mute)
