invisionsFlying the flag for York’s metalcore heritage, INVISIONS release new video SOUL SEEKER today. The track showcases brimming energy alongside the band’s trademark guitar crunch and crowd-commanding pulse.

“Soul Seeker was the first song we did vocally in the studio and the flow was amazing, everything just came so easily with this one, this song just felt natural! We knew that the energy of the song needed to be portrayed in the video and by keeping it strictly performance based, we knew we could lose our shit and give it the energy it deserves.”  – Ben Ville, vocals

“It’s actually a bit of a concept track. It’s written from the perspective of Neo in The Matrix but it ties very closely into something we have all experienced in terms of being told who you should be and how you should live your life. It’s that nagging feeling at the back of your mind –  knowing something isn’t quite right and you want something more. The high intensity riffs matched with the huge chorus made us realise what kind of recipe we wanted to grill up across the whole album. The track is so intense and upbeat so we wanted to make sure we captured that in the video.”  – Lucas Gabb, Guitars

SOUL SEEKER follows previous singles Purge and Turn Up, which have seen support from Kerrang! Radio and Rock Sound. All tracks are taken from debut self-released album NEVER NOTHING, due 18th August, available to pre-order as of today.

“‘Never Nothing’ is a theme that is lyrically consistent across the album. Almost every song relates to how everybody hides behind a front but actually there’s so much more going on. People in today’s society love to pretend that they’re immune to any extreme of emotion when in reality that is never the case.” – Alex Scott, Guitars

NEVER NOTHING is produced by York’s metalcore dream team, brothers Sam and Joe Graves of Innersound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eyes Set To Kill, Deaf Havana).

Forming from the ashes of previous bands in the York scene, INVISIONS spawned into being in 2016 with a collective vision to create heavy-hitting, adrenaline-fuelled music that nodded to classic thrash, whilst retaining a fresh and modern sound. Having been a band for only a year, INVISIONS are now armed with a trophy cabinet of songs that breathe new life into British metalcore.

With a short UK headline run in July and further tour dates to be announced soon, NEVER NOTHING is the sound of a DIY band scaling new heights. INVISIONS are ones to watch.
