NY pop-punks ONE FOR THE BRAVES deliver ‘Truth Of My Youth’

One For The BravesUpstate New Yorkers One For The Braves has released a cover of legendary pop-punkers New Found Glory’s hit single “Truth Of My Youth”.

The band’s 2017 EP “Does Anyone Honestly Care?” and a recent tour with fellow New Yorkers With The Punches, has seen the Poughkeepsie outfit spread their energetic brand of pop-punk to new ears in recent times.

Drawing influence from a range of genres, One For The Braves has created a pop-punk delivery that draws on elements of both old school and contemporary tastes, balancing the more emo-tinged ‘Wrong Turn’ with raw, unapologetically high-octane nods to the forefathers of the genre in ‘Fighter Planes’. An ear catching vocal delivery sets the tone for an EP that displays both nostalgic nods to the past, whilst retaining a unique and modern-day take on the genre.

Interlocking raucous guitar riffs with mosh-inducing drum work, One For The Braves make an obvious attempt to stand out from the crowd, without at any point deviating from their trademark sound and in doing so craft an accomplished and unapologetically fun sound.

An impressive step up from September 2015’s “The Place No-One Goes”, One For The Braves show a maturity and adventure with a diverse but thoroughly fluid and engaging collection.

Enlisting the guidance of Eric Castillo and John Naclerio (Nada Recording Studios), “Does Anybody Honestly Care” delivers energy, urgency and hooks galore as One For The Braves avoid the sophomore slump in style.
