ORDER#227 – ‘Behind Closed Doors’ EP Review

ORDER#227 – Behind Closed Doors

order227Order#227 have released their new three-track EP, Behind Closed Doors and is available in both physical copies and the digital version via bandcamp and, in our opinion, it’s well worth getting yourself a copy!

Opening with Wife Beater, a superb expose of a physical abuser with an aggressive and really well played backing to lyrics delivered in an Art Brut style but with a Rudimentary Peni and, at times, The Mob vibe, it’s a terrific track.

Man On The Street is a much faster, harder punk rock effort clocking in at one minute and twenty seconds with a Fugazi style bass break that just adds to the energy and power. Another strong track.

Ending with Smother Party where a rumbling bass underpins some spoken vocals which are then joined by the drums and restrained guitar to produce a slow burn that then ignites into a raucous chorus before returning to the restraint again. This formula works really well throughout the song.

Order#227 have released an excellent EP in Behind Closed Doors which promises much for the future – get it here
