OUR NAMELESS BOY Reveal Music Video for ‘Nothing On My Mind’

Our Nameless BoyBristol quartet Our Nameless Boy are pleased to reveal a music video today for their new single ‘Nothing On My Mind’ taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Tomorrow I’ll Be Scared Again’.

Set for release through Beth Shalom Records on 1st March 2019, the EP was recorded during and after frontman Iain Gorrie’s battle with testicular cancer. Commenting on the song, Iain said:

“Nothing On My Mind was written in the times I could manage to stand and hold a guitar between chemo cycles. It describes many of the themes you might imagine when suffering with this illness – denial, battling with aging, isolation and how to be around people you care about”.

Crossing paths at basement shows and clubs in the South West of the UK, the members of Our Nameless Boy found plenty in common and decided to form a band in 2014. Sifting through around 30 song ideas the band began to formulate a style of introspective, brooding emotional rock akin to bands like Manchester Orchestra, The Early November and At-The-Drive-In.

Sharing a flurry of singles and beginning to solicit interest from labels, the band began working on what would become their flagship EP ‘Tomorrow I’ll Be Scared Again’ right before Iain’s health took a turn for the worse just before the Christmas of 2015.

Despite Iain’s health battles, the quartet continued to make plans and press forward. Dealing with the aftershock by spending time in the studio perfecting material, and in the practice room adding to their repertoire, this time would prove cathartic to both Iain and his band-mates.

Now with a clean bill of health, and a fresh outlook in-tow, Our Nameless Boy are excited to be releasing their formative EP ‘Tomorrow I’ll Be Scared Again’.

Teaming up with a supportive label in Beth Shalom Records, the EP will be available both digitally and on cassette tape on 1st March 2019
