Debuting with 2015’s aggressive and energetic It’s Not Punk, It’s Spunk LP, and followed by Psychological Abuse in 2016, Spunk is a genre-bending, DIY death punk band hailing from the small town of Stouffville, Ontario.

Intent upon paving his own path for the project, Tomasi released Spunk’s third album Directionless Fury through his own independent label Acid Vision Records.  These three records embodied a signature sound – a combination of catchy, fast riffs with over-the-top explosive vocal performances detailing themes of body horror, mutilation, death, and a savage sense of humour.

Today you can listen to lead track off the new record, it’s called “Fast Dad” (below).

Last year, limited Directionless Fury cassette packages handmade by Tomasi and imprinted with his own blood were sold, and later that year, Spunk released a promotional EP that promised an exciting and fast-paced album to come.

Slated for release on August 10th via Acid Vision Records, S.S.O.S  is the forthcoming and first studio record by Spunk.  Still packing all the punch and grit of Spunk’s early DIY recordings, S.S.O.S is an elevated and defining record that breaks the sonic barriers wide open. Written and performed solely by Tomasi, with the exception of a surprising guest appearance from Arthur Rizk on the record’s lead single “Fast Dad,” S.S.O.S was recorded at Toronto’s .Wav Cave studio.
